The 100 Black Men of Greater Florida GNV ensures that all of our programs are aligned with the framework established by the 100 Black Men of America, Inc to ensure that we are consistently and effectively delivering assistance to the Black community in the focused geographical areas of this chapter. The Chapter focuses resources to building impact programming in four areas as defined in the Four for the Future framework.

We believe that there are multiple factors that influence a young person’s ability to become a productive and contributing member to society.  Our program attempts to proactively impact those factors for young Black boys.  We do not exclude any children who wish to be helped in the communities that we will focus on, however all programming will be focused on building the internal and external image of Black boys to create successful Black men that are productive and contributing members of the Black communities in the Greater Gainesville, Florida area.  We focus on creating strong mentoring relationships that will provide guidance, strong male role models, emotional and intellectual support as these young people matriculate through a critical point in their lives. Additionally, we seek to influence the youths’ outcomes and development through expansion of their:

  • Physical environments,
  • Peer networks,
  • Cultural exposure, and
  • Academic achievement expectations
